Yet another set back. We decided to get some more black since he did not like the stuff I had. This time I got Chrysler Brilliant black Pearl metallic like my Challenger had and probably Mike's 300. That all went very smooth. Then for the clear coat---Need I say that it cracked all to he77. Haven't gotten to talk to him about the details or how bad it was. He was really upset this morning. What a nightmare. Only thing to do is sand it back down till smooth and go from there. Hopefully it did not effect the base coat.
Edit: just spoke to him and we are going to let it dry up a day or two and apply a sealer coat it and probably just single stage enamel it. I am hoping I can get that color in a single stage. He said it was loaded with metallic of different colors. Looked really sharp. Car isn't that bad. He wuit on the second coat of clear.

Maybe Midnight Metallic blue pearl would work?
It basically looks black... Til it gets in the sunlight.... then reflects the metalflake with highlights of dark blue! I wouldnt mind painting my monte that color!
Hope it all works out soon for ya Jerry!

Thanks for the ideas guys, not about to change all the door jambs and stuff again. LOL. This has been the biggest PITA ever. Usually my friend is on top of it but he has been going through a lot of crap with his girlfriend and life in general so I am letting it all slide. It's not worth our friendship. For what I am going to have in it, it is still a bargain. Just picked up the sealer and new paint today. He is planning on spraying it this weekend. Here is a shot just before he sprayed the last of the black and cleared it. (not that it matters)really nothing new to see.
