Are you talking about the instrument panel bezel that goes around the radio, gauges, ignition cylinder, ect? GM parts direct has it listed for $215.84.

I think he is talking about the rubber boot that surrounds the ignition on the 2000-2005 models.

Good luck finding an after market one. Your best bet is the stealership, or check classifieds for someone parting out their crashed monte.

or look in junk yards there may be a few wrecked ones or maybe someone you know has been rear ended and would take it off their car and send it to you.

I'm talking about the round piece that says off, start, acc, run, about 3" in diameter. I'm going to call my friend at the pontiac dealer who treats my right. I always buy my oem GM parts through him. Hopefully it's not one of those parts where you have to buy the whole dash to get. I wouldn't think so. It's actually plastic, not rubber, so the tabs broke off.

I hope I'm wrong, but it may be part of the ignition cylinder. Which is pretty expensive for just the piece you need. Would you be able to simply glue yours back on?

Default Got it!

It's still available, my cost is $3.80 through the GM dealer. I think it retails for about $8-10.

I hope you'll see this! I'm looking for the same thing. The snaps fell off of mine. Can you tell me what it's called or send me a link or anything? I tried searching for 2004 monte carlo ignition switch surround, 2004 monte carlo ignition switch ring, and 2004 monte carlo ignition switch bezel, but found nothing.

Any help is appreciated!

his last activity was 2 years and almost 3 months ago let me look for you tho.

I can't seem to find it, but you could take this diagram in and show them where it is. It's in number 5

This is probably a bad idea to continue a dead thread, but hit up ZSPOT. You can find him here:

Chibi and I both support him as noted in the below thread (which explains what he does):
