1st, THANK YOU for serving our country, the great USA!

2nd, for storage, fill the tank, add Sta-Bil or Seafoam to the tank and drive it about 15 minutes before you park it. Get a battery tender to keep it charged.

3rd, don't mix and match your performance manufacturers, otherwise NO ONE will stand behind anything. I know this for a fact. I ALSO know for a fact (because I was involved, although it wasn't my car) that ZZP will stand behind their work. I had the bill in my had and delivered the car. $2,000 worth of repairs that Zoomer covered. If you buy a tranny from shop A, and the turbo kit from shop B you won't get that coverage.

4th, I'm NOT saying there are other great shops out there, but for my money, I'd drop the car off at ZZPerformance for a week, have them do the turbo and trans, and do the dyno tune, because without that, you're going to be fighting power robbing gremlins that you might NEVER find without building it on a dyno. When the car is done, THEN go get it. You don't EVER get a build done 1st try. I've been to ZZP, I've been in their shop, I've seen their turbo work, and I've seen their 8 second drag car. AND because of the $2,000 repair bill they ate, they get my vote, but it IS your money!

My 2 cents.

AND good luck in Afghanistan, and make it back SAFE to us! Keep in contact while you're over there.

Thanks rock...it's a pleasure to serve this great nation. And that's the truth, I love what I do. Someone else gave me the same advice in terms of "mix and matching". Hopefully by the time I get back I'll have my manufacturers decided.

so which have you decide to go with, turbo or supercharged? how far are you from chicago btw? when you come back i'll give a ride in my cammed L67 monte and see how you like it and if you want something little faster we can head out to fort wayne, IN and have you sit in a passenger seat of a custom built 87 grand national on a L67 block.

xp cam
heads
stage 2 ic
2.8 pulley
ported m90
headers
exhaust
N* tb
42 injectors
tunes
3.29
bolt on stuff

i was gonna go turbo too, but i want to run this set up for couple more years. i still want to hit low 12's first before going the next step. i love cam sound that's probably one of the reason i decide not to do turbo yet.

i know with turbo you going to have to tune and monitor the car a lot to get it run right. i see a lot of guys demod their cars after going turbo. bigger turbo doesn't neccessary making you go faster. if you go to clubgp and read the turbo section a lot of them guys only running low 12's. i still have to do some tweaking on my cam/ic setup hoping to hit that magic number someday.

i only gone to the track 3 times. being a newbie at the track i had to learn how to launch and do E brake burn out i thought i done good. i was running 12.5 in the 1/4 miles consistently which i think is not too shabby for me i guess.

I saw on triple edge they do complete l67 swaps. Would that be a good place to go? I hear about their transmissions but no one talks about anything else they do. I could start out with the l67 swap with their transmission. Then take it slow from there. I really need to start researching...there just so much to do. Ha.
