ok i was thinking this... i was gunna go and get vinyl put around the bottom of the car on the plastic piece that is on the ls that looks terribly ugly when you have a black shiny car and dull ugly gray plastic so what you think if i put black vinyl or even a metallic looking silver... check my pictures first and then give the opinion... its gotta look good with the rims

 

Why not just have them painted the body color for a couple hundred dollars or less?

 

i second the idea. Plus paint will hold up better on the bottom with all the stones on the road

 

paint probably seems like the better idea, but it probably costs more money if you dont find the right place to do it....

you can find a shop to paint your body kit good and for a decent price that may actually be cheaper than vinyling it

I called around today about it and was told approx. $150 to disassemble, clean, primer, paint, and reinstall.

 

thats a pretty good deal, you should call to seee what they'd charge just to primer and paint them...because its very easy to take all these pieces off...very easy...but if its not that big of a difference in price (if any at all) just get them to do it ..lol

 

I did it myself, I have a 2001 ls and I just put sum painters tape around the car, and used autobody spray paint. Still shiny, still on even after 2 yrs of snow and ****. Cost me 6$

 

LMAO!! is this not always the way.
I was thinking of saying the same thing. take some scotch brite pads and sand the parts down. then get a AUTOMOTIVE grade plastic paint and paint them the color ya want. Then get a AUTOMOTIVE grade Clear and clear over them and sand with wet dry sand paper and recoat to make it smooth and knock off the orange peel. Then reinstall it and go for broke.
They can look really nice real easy and really cheap
