If I were rich, I'd just have the world's fastest Monte.

I think the reason why more people don't get them is the price. You're talking $5500 for the turbo kit, and another $3500+ for a built trans- so you're talking about one mod for almost $10k and tons of labor (trans swap). Sure it makes huge power (roughly double stock- stock whp is only 240ish; some cars have dyno'd these kits close to 500 whp)- but then you have the same problems as every other 400+ whp wbody; no traction from a dig unless you're on slicks. For $10k, you can probably pick up a used LS4 wbody now- I know back when I got mine, there were a lot in the mid 15's up, and that was a couple years ago- so the one mod is almost as much as the whole car, lol.

Thats crazy how you can push 8 psi safely on a stock engine
It can only be run safely because of the alky injection. Stock compression is pretty high; so there is very little room for boost on the stock engine without doing something to significantly reduce knock.

Personally, I just wish ZZP would offer a Z3 version to at least get the price of the turbo kit down.

I would be wary of anything cartuning made, I was gung ho with going that route for my kid, but then did some research, from what I heard the kit is ok, but if you run into issues there customer assistance after a product was purchased was not so good, again just from what I read, not knocking the product or the company as I have not had any direct experience with it....

They definitely had a customer service issue awhile after releasing the 3800 kits. Not sure if they still do or not. However, with the LS4 you have no other bolt on option- so its either hope you don't have to deal with customer service and suck up the high price, or pay all the money for a shop to build a custom setup
