It has quite a few good options and has had a lot of stuff done to it so I would probably give more than the $3,000 I posted above.

If the body is in as bad a shape as you imply, you will have a lot of money in it to get it right. A couple of years ago I got a quote to get my car repainted and this was with hardly any body work since I had had the body redone back in the early 90's and the guy wanted $5,500 to do it. I recently stopped at another place that does restorations and he said he wouldn't touch my car for under $16,000.

You would have to decide what you plan on doing with the car. If you want something to restore to keep and don't plan on selling to make a profit, I say this car would be a good canidate given the uncommon drivetrain combo and good options.

If you want to do it to try and make a profit, you probably won't. Even though this generation of Monte Carlo's has gain popularity, it still is not as popular as many other Muscle cars and does not bring the kind of money a lot of others do.

How much are they asking for it?

Wayne
