RE: I have over_____miles on my Monte Carlo : )
Some of the stuff I've repalce on my '86 are:
Tires.
Belts.
Hoses.
Dist cap, rotor, coil.
Fuel pump.
Brake pads.
Light bulbs.
Lenses.
Pin stripping.
Center caps, & beauty rings.
Weather strip.
Q-jet carb re-build.
Just this past weekend I purchased a new trunk pad and roof rail seals from Mike's Montes.
The only real nessessity repair was the torque converter then it went out. All the other stuff was things I wanted replaced.
The '06 had the C/D player replaced as well as the Onstar backup battery. Then like I posted the battery going dead a few times. Otherwise it's been a great car.
It got a lot of compliments at the Nationals this past weekend.

Well, Of course, I'd like a 2009 Monte Carlo SS, but that may only be a dream . I'd love to see Monte's come back, but of course, I'd settle with preferably 07' MC SS. I'd stiill be really happy with an 01-04 SS with the 3.8 SC. Whatever doesn't completely break the bank!
Ohh, and I forgot to mention that the engine and tranny haven't been replaced either. Hopefully they won't need repair for a long long time. Here's to a great 225k miles, and hopefully to another 225k more! (even though it may be looking ugleeee by then!)

On my 2000 SS I have 165,000 miles. I've put just over 5,000 miles on it the past 2 months. With my college and work commutes I will be at 200,000+ within the next year or 2.
I just put in aradiator, motor mounts, and fuel tank sending unit. It has the original engine in it and great oil pressure still, as well as the original transmission. I estimate another 5-10k I will be able to get on my tranny. I can tell its just not as good as it used to be.
But don't get me wrong, I'm not easy on this car. Its seen the 1/4 a couple times...
