Unhappy How much for the intake manifold gasket repair?

As posted in the title, what might it cost to have this done? Ballpark figures are fine.

The sad part is I was thinking of selling this car because we don't drive it much, but it would be a hard (and cheap ) sale like it is now.

Thanks.

If you do the work.....pretty cheap...about 100$ while yer at it may as well change out the valve cover gaskets,,,,,,,and if ya need to...be a great time to get at them rear spark plugs. I would think a good shop could do it in about 2 hours, I'm gonna guess at about 3-400 dollar job. but ive heard of folks payin 6-800. You can allways call around and ask.

sharp is pretty spot on, its not that big a job. its no 30 min job either but even at that 3-400 clams would get it done here parts and labor. Just request they use the better grade of intake gaskets. fel-pro offers a better grade and not much more expensive.
Anyone trys to quote a grand..............run

I paid 1000 but it was because they spent too much time tearing down the donor motor before realizing it wouldn't work with out "a lot of Jerry rigging"
I told them to forget the SC and just do the intake job

Which one are you needing replaced the upper or lower? Lower one I can see them going for the big $$$ to replace it.

A lower intake manifold job shouldn't be more than $600

Thanks for the replies. I got it to the shop last week so they could look at it. The more I thought about it, the less I thought it was a big problem. There was no coolant in the oil or trans fluid, the radiator was just gunky. I had them flush the cooling system ank told them to get rid of the Dex-cool, but they put Dex back in it. On the way home the low coolant light came on again so I need to replace the sensor. Since I have to drain some of the coolant out to change it, I'll also give it a good flush and go with the green stuff.
