Only had the car for 11,000 miles but in those few miles lets see what I've had:
-116k actuator went out (passanger)
-119k rotors had to be turned
-120k transmission went out
-122k alternator/battery went out, replaced rack & pinions
-125k actuator went out (driver)
-126k water pump AND harmonic balencer went out

I have a 2004 SS bought in a private sale with 148k It now was 164k. I have replaced a lot whoever owned it before me did not take care of it. I had to replace the rack and pinion, motor mounts, all tire, tire rod endings, trail arm, still have to do the power steering return line, sending unit, blower motor, I had the heater hose fittings go out on me while on the freeway (fun)

Oh my sir. May I suggest jacking up the horn and rolling a new car under it? Your dedication to this vehicle is admirable. Or insane. Good luck with her!

its Maam...im a chic lol. yeah i have been told to get rid of her by several ppl. the body has over 161k on it and the upper states weather is harsh . but i dont have the funds to replace her.(i looked south for one i want and i would have to spend over 5k for something worthy enough of my time and effort) i would have to fix her up to sell her for a decent amount to get another one and if im going to spend the time doing that...i may as well keep her. im repainting the whole thing simply because i want another color, not because shes bad all over. its the wheel arches in the rear that are in bad shape. the hubby is making rockers, and a fuel door for it out of stainless so i dont have to pay for those. my hubby is a welder so he can weld all the new stuff on, including my exhaust. we do as much work to it as we possibly can saving us a lot of "mechanical" bills. i own her outright, no loan or anything. so its much cheaper for us to fix her up than to buy a new one

2002 Monte Carlo SS 3800 Series II,

Got the car at 70000k, she has 82000 on her now,
Blew Brake Line that goes to the front passenger caliper at probably 73,xxx, replaced it with OEM steel line
Intermittent clunking around Trans, at first when shifting to reverse, now on startup
Passenger climate control bulb went out

Other than that, no real problems!! Oil changed every 3000 with valvoline 10w-30 premium conventional, fuel system cleaner used every 3000. Love the car! This will be only the first of several Monte carlo's to own!

181 thousand, haven't had it that long. But, so far I've replaced the crank sensor and ignition switch since I've had it.
