Default How to fix the stop light switch in a 1995 z34

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to replace the stoplight switch in a 1995 Monte Carlo z34? I recently had my car inspected and the mechanic failed it because the stop light in the back window was not working and they gave me an estimate of $51.00. The estimate listed a brake pedal switch, and I would like to know if I should buy a stoplight switch or a brake pedal switch?

Any help would be great! Thanks

i would start with a new bulb before any swiches... $2 for a bulb you can put in yourself VS $51 switch and labor, & the mechanic could just as easly put a new bulb in & pocket the rest....
