Thanks
Zippy02: Your accolades are really appreciated - kind of makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside. So everyone knows - the inspiration for this whole build was when I found Zippy's car during my research - this project would have never taken place if his car did not exist. But to catch up again to let everyone know. The air to air charger has to be replaced with an air to liquid charger/intercooler - the original one was just too small and really overrated from the manufacturer and the lack of room did not permit putting in the larger one that was need - it just was not doing the job could not pass enough CFM of air needed to cool the charge. Those new liquid to air intercooler parts should be in this week. And Matt is engineering an ice box w/coils to be put in the trunk well with a low temperature radiator and from what he told me a solar acctuator switch that runs on DC to operate its fan, hopefully we will put some kind of insulator wrap on the ice box to keep the ice cold so it doesn't melt real fast and I can keep the ice intact for a couple hours - enough time to utilize while cruising around (can't waste the additional HP it allows). The ice box will be hidden by my spare tire cover (which I replaced with an aluminum billet cover) and inline with the water tank that will be right behind the back seat. This is the last major obstacle - other items that are being addressed not so major is additional baffling in the gas tank (right now on a hard turn it runs out of gas with almost a 3/4 tank - gas goes all to one side) and the addition of a small stock like air splitter underneath and up front on the front bumper about 1" wide very unnoticable. This redirects air to the radiator for additional cooling. A very inexpensive and easy to install add on that can play a major role in cooling. And a couple odds and ends, mount my new tires, new air filter, replace two bad gauges and a couple front poly mounts that were overlooked when the suspension was being installed. Final dyno run, final detail, a visit to learn how to drive the car and a trip home.
