hid kit questions

Default hid kit questions

i wanted to order my hid kit this week. but i am not sure what to get. i know i want my lights bright as hell. i wanted to get the pinkish purple 30000k but i dont think they will be that bright or legal might just get them for my fog lights i need some help. thanks

Assuming by the 9005/9006 code in the link, you are looking for a 6th Generation Monte Carlo.

Having a HID headlight in a non-HID housing (projector) is illegal. So worrying about the color being legal shouldn't matter since the whole idea of doing this is illegal to begin with.

With that said, you will get the MOST light from 4300K, that is the purest of colors and the brightest of light. Anything over that is strictly just to color and loses it's brightness.

wow i didnt know that about the hid in non hid housing. thanks for the help. now i just gotta figure what would go good with my maroon ss

Yes a lot of people break this law because they like all the light output. In reality though you are blinding EVERYONE around you. So that is why it is illegal.

The projectors add a line that stops the light from going above and blinding people. In our housings the light just bounces EVERYWHERE up, down, left, right, which is nice for the driver, not the other people on the road.

well it seems like everybody where i live a has this blinding effect. so i figure i give out the pain everybody been giving me

Thats the kit I have 6000k 35w and I've had no problems with them at all.
