I've been asking about a turbo or supercharger for a 3.9 for over a year now. Most replies I get are look for an aftermarket turbo kit to bolt on.

Yeah same here..There is a place in toledo that said they could build me a custom turbo setup but they cant promise my tranny will hold it plus i know anything not gm on the car they wont cover if i blow the tranny r something.. Thats why i'am just trying to do all the system work and body work and wait till the car hits 100k which is awhile yet but hey lol then when that day comes if they have nothing for the 3.9 yet i'll see if i can find the ss motor and tranny and do a swap.

I think the best way to go is uprage our engine to a 5.3v8 froma 3.9, It's hard to get the performance we want out of our 3.9 engines, not much of a market for them. I say get the best use out of our engine and when we get too high milage later in the year's to come upgrade to a 5.3 engine, I don't want to do another vehicle trade in. I say tranny and engine swap is the best way to go later on.

I hate how much the body kits are, I mighty just get the ss front end and rockers or i am just going to paint my bumpers and side panels. Havn't decided yet.

Yeah i def think i'll just wait til the monte hits 100k to do any kind of swap with it and if the 3.9 is still runing strong then which i am sure it will i may just wait till something serious goes on with the engine or tranny be4 the swap if its after 100k.. Anyways i am with you the ss add on is crazy i think just doing some paint wouuld almost give it a ss affect to it..But i'am def getting the ss stripes which the cheapest i can find on those is around $250 on ebay and i'am def happy about the tail lights for them alsomaybe these are lil things to show a great future for the monte?!

I'd hit up some local shops around your area, I found a local sign/graphic shop that designed and installed my stripes for $106 after tax. Plus with a local shop you can tell them how you want the stripes done. Mine are a little skinnier but are spaced wider so they take up about the same amount of space, plus I had the corners rounded a bit more.

RJ, shoot this Doctorspeed.com off an e-mail. I found out that this is our LZ9 engine stuffed into this little GTP.
