Help finding a part
2003 mc ls
You know if you wanted to remove your radio, you have to remove your dash right. And you know that ignition cover. That say Off,acc,on,start.(and the piece that goes around that too, needs to be replace) Well I broke both pieces.
I'am trying online, at gm websites, but no luck. IT would help if I would know the proper name for each piece.
Oh yeah I tried the number on both pieces at the gm website, no luck.[sm=pcwhack.gif]

Thanks
well after talking with them and getting NOTHING FROM THEM GRRRRRR!!!!
did i mention i hate this dealer. I have to go back out there shortly to get the parts they screwed up fixed. So i will go sit on the counter till they cough them up for me.
but talking with that fool they are farily common parts that break the plastic ring around the ing. switch tends to break when comming off. SO you might beabel to call a dealer in your area and explain it to get the part numbers.
same with the rubber peice there to.
I wish i had a peice i could use to mock something up i would take the rubber part and cast it in fiberglass then make it solid and attach it with a screw in the back of it or somthing better then what they did here.
the good news is for all of you out there with a radio and a DVD player and want to make a switch on it so you can watch and drive (this is illegal to do)
you have plenty of room behind that rubber to mount a small momentary switch and then you just push it and it will short the ground out to allow the DVD to think your car is in park. :-)
Also would be a great place for a kill switch of some sort out of sight out of mind.

yeah i know what your talking about. honestly those are commonly broke from talking to him so i dont think they would be real expensive.
but if you have a bone yard close you can get them out of any of out body style cars for real cheap if you are on a strict budget but i will check the on part numbers next time im there
