At least that one was an accident. I remember someone coming on here over a year ago parting out a 2004 Intimidator. Nothing wrong with it. He simply wanted a Supercharged 6th gen. Didn't really care about the rarity of it. He completely gutted the car and converted it to a drag racer.
That should be a CRIME!!! How... why??? Hearless!!! I could NEVER imagine gutting a fully working, limited edition car for that reason (I would sell it whole and probably make enough to buy a donor and have a little money left).

I hate when I see someone take a car I like (especially when it's a limitted package on that car) and gut it. Such as the '82 Camaro Pace car or now that my 3rd gen Camaros are slowly creeping into Historical Status, someone buy one that is near mint today and rip it apart to make it a dragster or some goofy custom ride.

As for the Montes, I love the black cherry 80's style and for the 6th gens, my sweet spot is the '03 blue/silver Pace Car (the Monte I have was as close as I could afford to that dream).....

The thing that surprises me most from this post is how good the PT cruiser looks after the accident. That PT cruiser held up pretty well.

If the accident is still being investigated by the auto ins (this could very well take years) or the car has current plates on it, generally there's little any local government could do about the car setting there in the condition it's in.

My '89 RS Plymouth Sundance sat damaged in the back of my house for a couple years. Till I got irritated with the two other insurances involved and their little game. So I put my car in decent enough driving condition and drove it again.

This past weekend someone on Tri-5 Chevy.com posted a link on Craigslist. I researched "Monte Carlo" on there and located a 2003 Pace car someone abused and was selling. For like $9,000 I think it was?

Debbie said to buy it. We'd have two of them.

RJ, How badly abused is "abused". That would be cool to have a pair of them.

$5,000?

That's a lot for what would now be considered a parts car. Don't know how much of that car is salvage-able. But you'd have a hard time getting your 5 grand back out of it. Even if the engine and tranny is good.

Too rich for my blood with the interior exposed to the elements like that.

Ahh, com'on, $5,000 is a great price, it's just a little ding and a scratch....

Comparable to the Black Knight saying "Tis but a flesh wound"....
