RE: H11 HID Xenon
GPD,
This says it all.............
"It's buyer's total responsibility to find out the bulb size used in their cars/trucks matches what we advertised in the auction."
For what kind of cars and what years?
Cause that sure don't look like any Monte Carlo I've ever seen?
If it is a Monte Carlo, what's in the center of the grille?
This says it all.............

Our cars use the "H11" advertised on this specific ad.
I like the use of the balasts. The last time I tried cheap Hids, I melted my harnesses and housings.

RE: H11 HID Xenon
Well, the important thing to remember... 06 and 07's only use the H11's on both the fogs, and the low beams... I think Gen 6's and earlier used all different headlight bulbs. The fogs would be no problem, but a waste for all that light, and the low beams actually have a dual sealed housing. In other words, First you have to uninstall the whole assembly, then you have to take off this access door, THEN you get to remove the bulb. A typical HID kit has a bulb seperate from the voltage changer, what they're calling the "ballast"... it probably won't use the same wiring, meaning you have to hack/redo wiring and possibly completely eliminate that extra sealing door... which would worry me...
I'd probably do the high's before I'd do the lows... too many ppl get pissy and turn their brights on you because the HIDs are so bright, even in the low beam reflectors. no use if both of you are blind because of the other person's lights... lol!
