Grill Insert

RE: Grill Insert
Space's post is another Steel Mesh grille. These are 3$ put it together yourself, cut the hole, and tape it in place jobbers. The first one appears to be at minimum a stamped and polished, if not a cast or (gasp, incredibly expensive to produce billet) grille. You will want to stick with Billet, or cast at minimum. Billet will hold up the best, stamped steel would be in second place, because if it's true chroming, it will hold up longer than chromed aluminium, and in third place is the stamped alum. Stamped alum usually has a pretty poor chroming finish, and it's usually not a very smooth job. Trust me, I work in the Motorcycle accessory business, and I hear about this every day. Steel or alum mesh is hardly worth the bother of putting it on, much less the 75$!!!!!! the one on space's post asks for. Mesh rarely lasts more than a year, and its usually nothing more than wire mesh that's plated, and bent to the correct pattern of your grille. You can do this yourself for no more than 10$ at a local tuner-store. I mean it looks okay, but it's rarely done right.
