It's not an April Fools joke. I didn't do one this year guys. My inspection was not last minute, but a month early. I am fine until April 30th. I did it now, so if I needed brakes I can do it over Easter while I am at my Parents.

Wow. Makes me seriously wonder about the structural integrity of 6th gen Montes.
You have me a bit confused now. Another 6th gen is the last car you would buy now? Yesterday you said you were thinking about getting another 6th gen, so you could transfer parts.

I could be wrong, but I think he meant getting another 6th gen and swapping parts over would be the last thing he'd do (a last resort) if he can't get the car repaired.

I was just going to say that, its is sad. I hate rust I have some under mine and it annoys the heck outta me but what can ya do it happens. Thankfully its not that bad. Sorry to hear this Mike. And I didn't think it was a joke.

If you get a car that doesn't have rust, I think you may be able to protect it if you mix up a big batch of fiberglass resin, get a paint brush, and apply Fiberglass all over the place.

That's exactly what I mean. I'm going to try desperately to salvage this car. Everything else is in just such great shape to kill it so soon

If you were up for over a 7 hour drive I'd send you up to my body guy. He does great work but he is a bit pricey.

He's repaired both of my quarter panels because of them starting to rust through. He's got to do by my front door and re-paint my passenger side this Spring, too (poorly repaired damage by previous owners repair shop from an accident).
