@all - For those wondering if it's an early April Fool's, I am comfortable Mike is not yankin' our chain about his news.

I'm curious if the PA inspector is making the situation sound worse then it is. The only way to know for sure if have the guy show you everything that is wrong and/or consult a professional body guy (specifically one into car restoration). I've seen Mike's Monte in person, I know that exterior and interior look great on it, but sadly the under carriage can take a beating, but I am hopeful that Mike can find the means to have his baby brought back to good health.

And here I was complaining about having to take the truck through emissions testing. Oklahoma used to have safety inspections but they finally canned it. To my knowledge TN never has had them.

Mike, again, I am really sorry to hear this man. I would feel as if I was loosing a piece of me to find out this kind of news in regard to my Monte.

I really hope it's fixable and CHEAP.

Keep me posted.

This really sucks to hear. I'm very surprised it's that bad considering the way you pampered and took care of the car. Most shops around here don't even check a car that new that thoroughly.

I was very surprised to find them look that deep into my car too. But in a way I'm glad they found it. If it is going to be fixable, it might be NOW to do it.

I just hope this smaller shop on Saturday doesn't look as thoroughly so I don't have to park it while I save up some money. I would still like to drive it at least once a week!

I'm going to assume since I just hit 183,000 they decided to check certain things on me.
