went to the jy and pick up a #0630 head (97-99) this head is stronger casting than the #0331 (00-'01) cherokee that prone to crack between cylinder #3 and #4, some advice for those looking to buy a cherokee sport. not all #0331 head crack tho. it will be a hit or missed deal. mine jeep is '01 and have 157k miles and the head is fine. i pick this up for insurance im not sure if mine been replaced by previous owner or not that's why im going to be doing the swap. it's at a machine shop right now for clean up and check for crack and or valve job if it need.




Gunner is proud of his new collar so he want's to show it off lol. look at the previous pics of him i posted and compare to these pic. he got some muscles definition. i put him on a jogging exercise. i bought a canine protein called Buffk-9 and have him pulled me on a bike. he actually really likes it. every time i let him outside he ran to the bike thinking he going on a bike jog. biking and riding the jeep are his favorite hobbies now.

 

looks like im going to be swapping out the motor in the jeep. most jeep will make a ticking noise usually either the lifters, loose fly wheel bolts or some minor mystery sound that will go away. the ticking on mine is coming inside the oil pan. it's little louder than before. took it to couple shop and they said it's the wrist pin on the piston. i don't want to dump a lot of $$ into this jeep so im going to go cheaper route and do motor swap. i still drive the jeep every day. im sad cuz i want to go wheelin with some friends this sunday. i really want to take the jeep and wheel it one last time for the year, but im going to have to hold off and wait to til the jeep is fix first. dude that i wheeled with saw my post about me looking for a motor text'd me today saying he know someone have a motor for sale. i called up the seller and he sound legit. never met him but i know him from the cherokee forum. the motor is a 1997 remanufactured with 81k miles and have some few upgrades parts. hell im going to jump on the deal looking forward to pick up the motor next weekend.

i'll be going wheeling with sunday after all. going to be riding shotgun. i would rather be in the driver's seat to be honest but that's ok cuz it would be interesting to be a passenger this time lol. i'll have some pics and videos.

 

as i promise of the off road videos. click on the pic. i will post more. had great time! we have 4 jeep broke down from the group. my driver jeep over heated, two other jeep have broken U joint and bad alternator. and a wrangler who join us along the trail snapped his upper control arm. feel bad for him he's 2 hours away from iowa he brought 2 dogs with him. from what i heard he had to abandon his jeep . hopefully nobody mess with his jeep.
