Happy to hear you got to drive a 06-07 Monte. I too went from a 01 SS to a 06 SS and it's GREAT! But truth be told, I really do miss the 2001 and I wish I was able to keep her but could not financially. I still stare/drool any time I see a nice black 01 when I'm at a traffic light. I think both generations are top notch!

 

My 03 is going to turn 10 years old tomorrow - special ordered him. I still think my favorite year for the Monte SS is the 05. I would love to own another one.

 

Folks, don't get me wrong. I love my 2001. He's a mean machine who keeps going and going and going. Not to mention I got him with a really great deal

With the mods I have planned for early 2013, I think I'll be even MORE happy. If I can afford it, I'm going to keep it when I buy a new car...but I'm definitely in the market for a solid V8 next time around. I was just noting that I had a good time driving the '07, and it's a viable option for me to upgrade to when I graduate
