Default Fluid Leak?

The other day when I got home, I noticed that there were some small wet spots beneath the car. When I got under to check, it ended up being slightly reddish in tint and very watery in consistency. I checked my fluids and all the levels are fine, but that doesn't mean there isn't a leak.

Based on the color I was thinking it might be transmission fluid? Not sure though. Car has 93000 miles, and am expecting to get the transmission serviced soon anyway.

Any thoughts? Are hose leaks typical of these cars?

Tranny fluid is slimey. Sounds like you have a coolant leak somewhere. Check your radiator hoses and try to see where the leak is coming from.

Probably coolant. 3.8L engine? If so, heater tubes and/or LIM gaskets.

Well...my dad just texted me to tell me the low coolant level light is on...so I guess that confirms it haha. Thanks all, I'll get it checked out.

Question: If my leak is minor (ie. occasional drips), it's still fine to drive with, right? I have to go from Philadelphia to Baltimore tomorrow and then to New York from there on Sunday. It's a lot of driving, and I suspect the car will be fine, but...opinions?

Always keep an eye on the fluids, make sure you have extra in your trunk. You should be fine though.
