As far as your headlight problem is concerned: Your State may be different, but around here it is illegal for a dealer or car lot to sell a vehicle that doesn't meet safety requirements. Those safety requirements include fully operational lighting. I would take the car back to where you bought it and let them foot the bill to repair it. It doesn't matter if the car was sold as-is, it needs to meet safety standards. The only exception is if the car was purchased from a private party. Good luck, hope you get it fixed soon.
