it goes ls, 2lt, and 3lt. 3lt is just like the ltz. some 3lt's came with leather like the ltz, some didnt. 2lt came with cloth only, and that surfboard spoiler. 3lt's also came with 3.9's like the ltz but not the prem. system. i think thats the only difference is to be quite honest. and for a 16 year old to be drivin a monte like that, you must of been good in school!

Not to say anyone is wrong...but, it goes LS, 1LT, 3LT, LTZ, & SS........2LT is a premium package you can add to a 1LT, but the 2LT is not actually a model. Trust me, the window sticker on my car said 1LT on it...
Why Chevy did two different LT versions beats me. Why not just call all the LT Monte's and LT, and have options to add to them?
But sonin66 is correct, the 3LT, and LTZ are ALMOST identical...and the I know the premium sound system is part of the 2LT premium package on the 1LT...it also includes a leather wraped steering wheel and steering wheel mounted controls.
BTW, how do you like that 3.9L? I bet its nice!

What a sweet ride for a high school kid! My first car was older then I was, and I never owned a car less then 10 years old until I got my Monte 15 years later. Your gonna get laid a lot more then I did. Chicks love Monte's

Very great car. Also a bad place for chips is the edge around the fenders. When I got my monte a girl said "wow look how big the back seat is" lol. Just wait, someone will prob say it to you lol.
