Congratulations on your new-to-you Monte. You are so lucky 2B 16 and have such a hot car. Do you have the leather interior and all the extras?

Learnt in this thread that the LTZ came with all the features and everything right off the bat. So yup, leather, and all the extras.

In 2006 there were also two levels of the LT, one with the 3.5 that was just a step up from the LS and then there was one with the 3.9L as an option. I have a 3.9L LT, doesn't have quite the same luxury as the LTZ, but the powertrain is the same.

Welcome! Definitely a nice car for a 16 year old! My dad said 'no way' to cars when we were 16, but I can't complain too much because he helped me buy my '98 when I was 18.

Awesome Car! Enjoy it!

The LTZ is the fully loaded one, basically everything an SS has except the V8...But there is not a DRASTIC difference between the LTZ and 3LT...in 06 there were 2 models of the LT...1LT and 3LT....I have the 1LT, so I don't have the pace car spoiler, moon roof, leather, up graded sterio, or the 3.9L....Those are the main differences. But you can get all of that on the 3LT...that is probably why Chevy dropped the LTZ...But you have a pretty rare care, I almost never see the LTZ. Awesome car man!
