So I finally got around to tuning my monte, not by handheld but an actual tuner! And guess what? I got tuned by joe Donovan of pbj shop located here in St. Louis. He tunes a big part of corvettes, vipers and camaros! Musca a awesome guy, I was able to squeeze out 15-20 more hp on my stock ls4. Not only removed dod but tuned my tranny so I no longer need a shift kit! He's so backed up though but done my work ASAP.

I recommend him!

 

Congrats on the tune, night and day difference over stock. There's way more than 15-20hp to be had from stock. Your dyno guy use HP tuners?

 

That's awesome! Glad you were able to find a local guy who could give you a tune setup you're happy with!

 

Yeah but the 15-20 were just based off theory of changes, he believes I net more from it but we haven't dynod it because his shop is so busy he's the only one there but he does a fantastic job at tuning and everything. He's litterally backed up for months with work but he stopped to make a quick street tune for me. My tranny shifts so smooth when barely throttling we both during our test runs could barely tell it was shifting unless I laid into it which was a firm shift. My next project is a trans cooler. But over all this was the first 2007 monte he did so he charged me bare minimum plus if I want it fixed it's free of charge or anything changed. He's that great of a guy lol, he also said he could fab up some headers for my ls4 but it would take months to finish
