Default Fiberglass Hood

I bought a used Harwood fiberglass hood for my 1987 Monte. It came with hinges but no springs. Harwood says they don't supply hinges for this hood (prop stick only). Does anyone know who does? The hinges have provisions for a coil-type spring just like the OEMs. I figure someone must make them with a lower spring rate. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't. But I wonder if part of the issue is find9ing a setup with the right tension to not cause problems closing the hood. My 1984 Camaro, I got a fiberglass hood for it and I had to find weak lift struts for it. I took the originals out as they were too stiff to comfortably close the hood. For that I was lucky, GM made a 1983 Camaro with a composite hood option. Bought the lifts for that and I was in business.

Both Harwood and Mike's Montes do not offer springs for this hood. This is not looking too good. I really hate the look of a prop stick. I may have to go back to Plan A and put a hood scoop on my stock hood. Any other suggestions of places to try anyone?
