Default A few things I have been working on.

Well I decided to finally put my Transmission Cooler on I bought almost 2 1/2 years ago. It is a 18"x7" RV cooler. I picked up for $40. I have to say it works great. I decided to keep the stock cooler hooked up in the radiator so it would actually warm it up then when it come out the return line it goes into my new cooler then back into the transmission. I was seeing temps of 212 degrees on trips over 30 min when it was warm out. I drove it for hours yesterday in town and out on the highway and didnt see a temp over 180. Most of the time it was from 160-170 on the highway.

If anyone would like to add this to their car I would gladly be willing to help and give more detailed instructions on how I mounted it and ran lines or anything else.

Next thing I have been working on is tinting my rear lights and replacing all the bulbs with LEDs. I have the Backup lights done right now.

one LED in to compare the light output

Both LEDs Tinted

Test run on tail light tint. I need your opinion on to go ahead with tint or keep it stock. I don't mind either look. The stock look is very clean IMO but the black makes it look way different.

Thanks Devin. Everything is kinda falling into place it just took some time

Yeah I know how you feel about them...right now I am leaning that way too. Might have to make a junk yard run though for fun

That cooler add-on is a must for any ls4 equipped ride and should be for all vehicles factory. I jammed the biggest cooler I could muster in that space as well. Man those tail lights are dark, but sweet looking. Here in NY they pull you over in a heartbeat. I had to do mine twice to get the right amount of shade without attracting any law enforcement. Nice bunch of add-ons.

The tranny cooler is a extremely smart move, heat is our trannys biggest enemy. I run 2 Earl's 5x9's and the factory radiator one for a total of 3 coolers, like your readings, I stay about 160 and have even been down to 105 and such on colder days. So smart move!

I think the tinted taillights could work, kind of justifies the black trunk bowtie, it's not an orphan anymore. They do give your Monte a new presentation. I know your being careful in so far as to what you do to your extra nice Monte, but they could be a good call.

I agree. I have been using it off for so long and figured it was time to just start tearing it apart and do it. I think the tint was like 15% or darker. I can't guarantee that I wouldn't get pulled over but that's why I tried it with the actual tint first so I could peel it off.

Thanks! Yeah once I was getting over 200 I began to worry. I was going to bypass the stock cooler but I figured on cold days it would serve a purpose and I would just have to sacrifice a higher temp for that.

Yeah if I can find a junkyard set of tails I will probably try vht I can't see myself doing that to my good set andhhave nothing else on hand if I don't like it down the road.

I figured the leds would help out no matter what choice I made. But I see where you are coming from.
