Earnhardt signature edition

I am thinking of purchasing a 2002 Earnhardt Signature Edition Monte Carlo. Is there any way to tell from the VIN # if this is in fact what they say it is?

If you put it through Carfax (not sure) or contacting GM. The Earnhardt edition has about a $2500 upgrade package listed on the invoice.
