My neighbour wanted to sell me his 1983 monte carlo but unfortunally he lost his keys... We manage to remove the door cylinder but not the steering since we do not have the proper tools(puller) to do it. Now I wanted is the key door code is the same as the ignition or are they 2 different keys?

And what is my alt. solution go see the dealer and ask them the code#??
