Default Does it work?

I have a 2004 sc dale jr. monte carlo and i have been wanting to make it a little bit quicker than it already is and i was wondering if the performance auto chips work that say that they add hp, torque, and fuel economy? Does anybody have prior experience with one?

It doesn't work and is definitly not worth trying. Trust us who have modified, and heavily modified our 3800's and don't buy that piece of junk. Read this guide for proper modifications: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/en...-bumpin-24896/

Yep, its been said over and over. With these cars you don't chip them, you tune the PCM, because that's what controls everything. You'll get increased fuel economy and even improved shift points depending on who tunes it and what they tune.

I tried a Jet chip in my 06 3.5L, and it fried my PCM. DONT EVEN TRY IT! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Jet was one of the worst companies i've delt with in regard to car things too, they wanted zero responsibility for the issue.

A lot of times these things are just resistors, that trick your cars computer into thinking more cold air is entering the engine than it is.

What that does is make the computer dump fuel into the engine which feels like more power, but really it's killing your MPG and everything.
