Do performance chips work?

RE: Do performance chips work?
The short answer is no. The long answer is no.
Youhave to reprogram the PCM. If you have a laptop, there are a couple of programs but their names have slipped my mind for the moment. The chips are just complete rip offs, evade them.
I had mine retuned at Carolina Auto Masters in Durham, NC by a guy with the progrma who used the dyno to tune the car.

Justa note to everyone.
I wouldn't trust the site's search feature to find my socks or much of anything else. I've tried to use it to find a thread I knew existed (I created it a week earlier), and it couldn't find it.
