Ok, so I want to build a sub box and I want to remodel my trunk. I know in order to build a good box you need to use certain materials... I was told to use MDF wood for the box... Now in my trunk I want to change the shape of the inside and line it some sort of fabric... I'm not using fiberglass to shape out my new lay out. I was gonna use wood... what kind of wood should I use for the flooring and walls in my trunk... I want it to look good but most of all sound good..

just go with the mdf and a a regular cheap wood for makin round shapes

 

Ok. I have 3 12" L7's, I don't wanna take anything away from them lol. What size amp would you prefer. Or should I use more than 1?

 

Here's a hint. Use cardboard to make what you want 1st. It's easier to work with. And if you mess up. It's cheaper to fix. Then after your finished with it. Then make it out of wood. One thing for sure. Once you start it. Your design will change for reasons beyond your control. If you need cardboard go to Wal*mart at night say around 11 pm that's when they stock. That's where I got mine. Check in electronic's area where they have the TV's of even the paper towel area. They have the biggest box's & their free . You can get as many as you want. Try to use a lighter wood. You don't need 2 X 6's use wood glue & maybe some L bracket's. Then you can cover it with either Vinyl or cloth. Good luck. remember measure twice !! Cut once... With cardboard you can use tape to make it.

 

Ok thanks. I work at art van a furniture store and we have tons of boxes. Lol. Never would have thought about cardboard.
