Cooling Fans Don't Come On?
Hey all. 0'1 Monte Carlo 3800, radiator fans won't come on when I start the engine. They'll turn on when I hit the A/C on, and I can run them manually with my Aeroforce gauge but they're lifeless otherwise.
A little background, the MC was running a little hot lately, my gauge was reading coolant temps of 213* at idles so I thought maybe the thermostat was going (180*). So I replaced it with another one from Napa, and still had the same problem. They had asked me earlier when I got it if my fans were coming on and I told them I didn't check. Went back and forgot about it and remember about 2 hours after they closed. So now i'm sitting here searching and I can't find anything.
Help is appreciated!!

What's the question?
One fan is for the A/C like you said, and the other is a back-up fan so you temperatures don't go above 212°
If you really did put a 180° thermostat in there, you'd have to have your PCM tuned and the fan temps adjusted.
