Wonder why they tested three different stlye Impalas but only one Monte?
No word yet on what the next Impala or Monte Carlo may look like.
Sorry but to me this is encouraging as far as the Monte goes.

From the above review:
"Monte Carlo is a throwback to the era of the midsize domestic coupe, trading passenger space and cargo room for a sporty profile."
Yes! That's the whole point! Some of us would rather get to point B quickly, and look good doing it, than to kowtow to what Japanese engineers feel is best for us.

The Monte is in a tough market though. There aren't that many people that want a sports coupe with this kind of style. Most either go all out for a Mustang or similar product or for a cheap prestige look like the BMW M3(?). It really is a pain in the butt to get people in the back seat, it doesn't have the style of a Grand Prix, and the interior cabin isn't the greatest. You almost have to be a die hard NASCAR fan or get a somewhat low profile look. I actually think this turns more heads because it is really stylish and doesn't have the "look at me!!!" look to it. I get alot of double takes on the road and you can almost see it in their eyes - Wait a minute, that only had 2 doors or the front wheels are really close to the bumper - that's hot.
