Why do you want put car on stands for the winter ??
Only time all my cars are on stands is when Iam working on them..
I store them off the stands..

I think he's asking where to place the jack stands under his car. Usually people place them on the pinch welds under both sides of the car. It's ideal to place a car on jack stands during the winter to preserve the tires other suspension components.

Yes, precisely what I want to do. I also dislike using those pinch weld points for an extended period. They just seem so thin...like an 1/8". Surely there are others who do this yrly...?

I've never parked a car on jack stands nor have people I know ever done it. Some are afraid of flat spots in tires, but really, that problem went away I think when steel belted radials became standard.
I know a guy that has parked his '94 Firebird since the day he bought it new. Car has about 70,000 miles on it today, never parked on jack stands. No issues. I think it MIGHT still be on the factory struts and shocks (I'd have to check)....
