I'll sure look into it. Is that something that I can install myself? My dad has these two ramps that we drive our cars onto to change the oil. Will that be enough height to get to it? Any special tools I need to remove the old exhaust part, or is it just a bolt on thing?
Has anyone installed tinting film over their tails? I was just wondering if it's very hard to do because I've never applied a film to anything really.
Thanks

I wouldn't install a tint film over the lights. They'll heat up and it will probably get ruined.
The downpipe is 4 bolts, 2 on the rear exhaust manifold and 2 right after the catalytic converter. You should be fine with just the ramps and maybe a swivel ratchet

Thanks for the how to Chibi!
Do the tail lights really get that hot? I've seen other people with them tinted and they look just fine. Really the reason I want to tint them is because I don't like how the lights are layed out inside the light. If the film actually will get ruined, whats an alternative, besides the VHT Nite-Shades spray?

There are LED tail lights available too. If you like the look of them. Like these on Chibi Mike's car.
Or this other style...
The one's like Mike's can be found on AutoAnything

But I would really suggest doing a search on eBay. Search for "Monte Carlo LED tail lights". You should be able to find a style you like at various prices.

I wouldn't suggest getting the tinted headlight or tail light covers. I had two sets of them stolen off one of my previous cars. While it was parked in my driveway. They're only held on by pieces of 3M Dual-Lock (looks like an industrial strength version of velcro). Thieves simply popped them off while I was sleeping.

If you have any questions about interior lighting, just ask. Chicks dig it.... Dont get color changing though, Ive had it called a Christmas tree before
For VHT, its easy to spray on and if you need too remove it you could sand it off and then wet sand/polish the lights again, no biggy.
*cough* headers are nice too *cough*

Happy Birthday my00monte, my son is 17 and starting to eye my Monte... lol... The two most noticible mods I've done are a change in PCM ($175.00) to a tuned "Intense" version (have to use 93 or 94 octane fuel - difference is noticeable right from key on)... Exaust, once you remove the U-bend ($100.00 custom install or buy at zzp delete or downpipe) & put in a performance Cat ($200.00 installed) and Maganflow mufflers ($400.00 installed), your ride becomes a beast and sounds great... Then just add the CAI ($250.00)... Good luck...
