Buying Question: 1987 Monte Carlo for 6k?
I recently found a pretty sweet 1987 MonteCarlo with 53k miles and custom paint and rims to match as well as blue trimmed black leather seats. For 6k (as I said), but its about a state away. I want to know if it would be worth checking it out seeing as it appears to be potentially too good to be true. I appreciate any feedback on this very much. Thanks in advce tu

I say yes but.. I'd definitely get some high quality pictures before driving that far. Probably ask a few questions and make sure it's worth the drive. Good luck either way and welcome to the forum!

welcome to the site. I would want to look it over in person before committing to anything. Pics are good but you can't really see any bad body work or flaws. It may be a nice car but you can't really tell without see in in person. good luck.

be very carefull do to when ever you see big rims on a car the engine was never really taken care of. what i mean it could look show quality but when you take it for a test drive it could run like crud or blow smoke out the rear when you do the first oil change. if you do go and look at it check the oil if it feels sticky it has the antismook stuff in it to hide a problem. also ask what wieght he uses if it is a high wieght like 20w50 back away or tell him if you want my money offer a lower price the body work and rims are the price he spent for the rims alot of time when some one asks for alot for a older car that has after market rims that are bigger then 18 he is trying to get his money back for them because alot of times it is the price of car=the price of the rims
