RE: Buttons up top
well they all were made in Canada.. all Monte Carlo's... what Taz is saying is that they made a few things different abotu the Candian versions. what you need to know is if it was built for sale in Canada (easiest way shoudl be look at the speedometer, if its in kilometers, then you know).most likely, yours was made in America. I konw theres a function in teh radio to program the little remote unlockers for the door... POB Program or something.. does that ring a bell?

RE: Buttons up top
If your car is used, it will have to be cleared before programming for the new code. I have all 3 buttons programmed for my garage door, so it makes it easy, just push any of them.
RTFM is a MUST here

RE: Buttons up top
I programmed mine for our 2 garage doors with openers.I had to use the Canadian method in the owners manual though. It is basically the same as the U.S. method, except you have to keep pressing and releasing the button verses just holding it in to learn the code, then run into the garage and hit the button on the opener itself within 30 seconds. My wife's Chrysler programmed the same way.
