Default Buttons up top

Hey Everyone,
I have the NA SS 03, and I wanted to know about the 3 buttons up top on the console, by the moonroof open/close switch. Can I program these to go to something like lights in my house? HAs anyone hacked these yet to see what all they can be programmed to/for?

Thanks for the info.
S.

your kind of right. you should see the words "HOMELINK" behidn it. They are there to open like your garage door or turn on a light for you to get in your house.. I've even known one guys car who could unlock his door for him.

My '06 LTZ has them as well. I just never learned to program them to work with the garage door opener.

Not even if you use the rolling code one? Old door opener or new? thats kinda weird. Does yours have the "train" button on the door opener itself? or are you using the remote for it? I had to use the button on the door opener to get mine to work.

Yeah it took me about 2 hours to figure mine out.
The only thing is I forgot how I did it.
All I know is that the owner's manual didnt help.

It's been a while since I read the instructions in my manual for the homelink buttons, but I do remember there being different programming instructions for Canadian Montes. Why? I don't know. Maybe someone at GM decided it was "viva la difference" day. I know they don't work though.
