Default Bumpy Idle, something wrong?

It's really nothing major, but over the last week I've noticed that when I'm at a red light and the car is idling, it usually goes down to 600 or 700RPM, very low, but I can feel the car start to shake a bit, almost like it's about to chug and die, (I know what this feels like from driving past cars). So far my car has not died, it just shakes a bit at low idling RPMs, but when I rev it up the bumpiness and shaking goes away. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Could be a multitude of things. Have you been driving your car hard? Air filter, plugs, wires, (the typical tune-up stuff) could be your Idle Air Control Valve... How's your oil?

It sure does sound like your IAC.

I was leaning towards that when he said it went away after a rev.

Sometimes those suckers like to stick, and blowing it open helps that problem right away!

Got an oil change 2,000 miles ago, put RP Synthetic in, so I should have 5,000 more, at the same time I put a new air filter in, so it's clean, I'll check it though to make sure it's properly installed, it was tough to get the sucker in. I suppose my plugs or wires might be do, I'll have them looked at. But how do I fix the IAC if that's what's causing the problem?
