Build/Swap almost complete
Trewyn15 - Be patient we are almost there. I had to send some more money in today and that was tough to digest. I asked them to pull the lower control arms put new bushings and ball joints in and powder coat them black. Everything under the car looked pretty good except the Lower control arms they were rusty because they were bare and I drove the car for 36,000 miles. So now they will look pretty like everything else.
Did you have a chance to look at the additional pictures? I kind of like where they put the turbo control unit on the dash - built right in. And the gauges from the front of the car the dash still looks completely stock looking through the front of the windshield. More updates to follow I am sure.

Trewyn15: You got that right, sometimes I am so excited I can't get to sleep at night. All I think about is this car. It has been a long build and we are so close - I literally can not wait much longer. I just sent off to the engraver my oil cap to get engraved 15W50. It will replace the one on the valve cover - same one exactly only silver with black letters. Should be pretty neat. I am not into real gawdy stuff, plain and simple and functional - as you can tell - my instructions were for a clean factory like build and the shop has pretty much adhered to that. Once the car does go on the dyno I will revert with what numbers the car produced. I am sure they will be awesome. I will be happy with a closed system (no cut out open in the exhaust) & 2 lbs. of boost at 650WHP. I am saying 2lbs. because that is what the system will be set at and I will drive it all the time at that setting, any more than that and I guess I just will hold onto my seat. The shop figures the tranny will take anywhere from 10 - 12 lbs. of boost no problem and 18 lbs will be the limit of the tranny before it explodes I guess. 18lbs., puts it in the horsepower range that is beyond the integrity of the transmission (the engine is capable of 1300 HP at the crank) and I should avoid boost scenarios higher than 12 lbs. that is if I want the tranny to live very long. I guess we will find out soon enough. I do have a back up tranny at the shop which I may or may not build for use later. I do have other plans for this car down the road other than FWD but that is off in the distance right now.

also, after the swap/build is done, do you plan on doing any paint work, i think black racing stripes would look awesome on your car.
Trewyn15: The paint is in almost perfect condition. I was very careful before I took the car there - there are no dings or dents only a couple minor chips in the hood from stones in the very front. The shop was very/very careful not doing any damage to the paint whatsoever. The car I would like to keep as stock looking as possible so I probably won't add any stripes. It does have 3/v-tags, flush hood locks and kompressor on the back lid and SS billet center caps but that is about it.
Trewyn15: If you noticed my 3rd brake light is a delete - a replacement the same color of the car leaving just the outline and no light. If I have problems with MR. Policeman - I will take it out and put the Monte overlay in it. But for the time being I personally like the delete.
Yeah, almost forgot - the sleeper thing - that is exactly what I want. Really can't wait until I dust a few doors and see the expression on some shocked faces. Although you know we can't and never will condone any type of acceleration contest on public highways.

i know you were joking on that last part =D.. i love the sleeper thing, my car just looks nice, nothing special, and at my last car show, i loved the look i got from a group of about 20 people when i drove by slow and they couldnt really hear my car because of stock mufflers, but then i stepped on it and they all turned and had no idea what was going on, even the big mustang guys and the car show director. thats definately the best part.
