hey, wut kind of brakes ( calipers, rotors) would you suggest to put on a 04 Monte SS that arent in an extreme price range. looking at some slotted rotors.

Some here will disagree with me, but I don't really believe in the slotted rotor.. I think it takes away some of hte rotor that the pad could be making contact with and therefore increases stopping distances... whatever pad you get, I recommend getting hte dust free ceramics... the other ones will warp your rotors again... ceramics are more gentle on the rotor, stop you a little better, and the right kind will produce less brake dust.

I bought a $100 set of a Akebono street performance pads for my car... they have great bite, and make virtually no dust (well... they make dust, but its clear, my rear wheels actually dust worse than my front ones now). However.. they are $100. I'm running on a set of Auto Zone duralast rotors as well. If you're willing to shell out that kind of money on a brake pad, I do by all means recommend a set of Akebono's... I've loved mine.
