my battery has died twice recently. i was in the car, car off but still on because my radio. died. second time key off all the way but dome light on. died. soon as i jumped her she vroomed right up. do you think it may just be the battery? i was told the "eye" on it was green which was good so is it the alternator? oh, i have a system. would that affect it that bad>?

 

that indicator doesnt work...ignore it. a lead-acid car batter has 6 different cells. the "eye" only looks at one. go to autozone and get ur battery and alternator tested.

you could have a dead short between two cells in the battery. otherwise your alternator might not be putting out enough amperage to power everything in the car plus your system. then you would maybe have to get a bigger alt. but yes, take it to autozone first and get everything tested. let us know how you come out!
