Back end kicks out
Ive noticed when i corner fast, or at all on a slippery surface, my back end tends to kick out sideways and can feel my tires skipping. Is this a common issue? I think its cause theres so little weight back there compared to a RWD vehicle. Im gonna get some sandbags to weight it down a little cause Im fishtailing like crazy in the snow.
monte carlo's tend to have that "bubble-butt" feel to them. they corner awesomely compared to smaller cars but when u break em loose youll know realllllllllllly fast. my advice: no offense (cause we all know lead in the foot=fun all the time) lay off the throttle just a bit. u may or may not have issues with your rear suspension or tires if it hapens t low speeds
also the large rear end check to see if your foot brake is locked up a little bit i had accidently hit it one time without noticing it(even with the light) and drove on it and i was all over the road in the snow, or if you use is messing around they sometimes stick and need to be adjusted.
with me it ended up getting a beter set of tires it is rare that a monty will do that do to the models that we have are majority of fron wheel drive and rear wheel montys i never really heared that front or rear kicking out badly. other to mutch hp on the rear wheel drive ones needing suspention tighten. hear is a easy test for your shocks have a friend set a foam cup seting on your trunk filled with water and put presure on each side and let go if it hops up to fast and goes down to fast its the suspention
