When you log in, the user name is now case sensitive. Try that.

I traced out the dog bone pattern of my trunk lid liner onto paper for member sprfrk2005 a few months ago.

I'll be glad to do it again for anyone needing it. No problem. Just PM me your mailing address, and I'll mail it out to ya.

04Intimidator04, what was your old user name? I'm assuming it's 04Intimidator, but I learned that I should never assume. If your still having problems logging into your old name, let me know and I can check your account. I can also send out a reminder email showing you the password the site has registered for your account.

By the way, just for everyone's info. None of the MCF staff, including Administrators, can see a member's password. The forum's software doesn't allow it. The software simply allows us to "send password reminder to user".

I tried tracing it before and it didnt come out that great. Wrapping it went well but with the letters with underneath it went ok. I cut the SS out of 2 inch foam. That came out really well. But when I went to glue everything together the finally result looked kind of like a pillow. So the second time around I was just thinking of getting a good template of the base and recut it and put new leather over it. and than I was going to paint the SS in red over the leather to make it a lot easier. Do you have an suggesions on having a 3D effect? So I was just looking for the base. I will send you my address. Thank you so much!!!

And yes my username was 04Intimidator I think. LOL Ill send also my email address that I should have signed up on. Thanks, Ive got a lot of good stuff to post finally.

Thanks for you help!!!

Well 04Intimidator04 just to give you a little heads upif you want to insert the foam, i would recommend using no more than 1/2 inch of foam... i was thinking for best result use that 1/4 inch think of head linner foam they sell in any apolsery shop use about 2 lays of that and you should be fine.... i should of done that myself because if you uses a 1 or 2 inch foam to creat the 3d illusion its going to be to thick and the leather or vinyl is not gonna smooth about the foam and with time its going to start lifting off the material cuz of all the compressed foam pushing on the material.... so thats what i would recommend thats gonna be my next try on this, and u would need to find a good velcro to put on that as well.... if you need n e more information just let me know i went threw it... 0o0o and i recommened putting staples in the back to keep the material all in place.
