You talking about the cellphone-style antenna that stuck to the outside glass? Or the actual radio antenna, which is mixed in with the defogger lines?

I believe the little cellphone antenna on the outside is only for the Onstar. Took mine off years ago. Don't need it unless you subscribe to onstar.

It just looks "unfinished" like this without the adapter thing, but this is what im talking about. I don't even know why ya'll took yours off, better aerodynamics?

I took mine off because...

A) The plastic on the antenna started cracking like crazy.
B) I don't subscribe to OnStar, so it's not being used anyway.
C) That style antenna looks really outdated, and I think my car looks better without it.
D) It makes it a lot easier to scrape the back window in the winter.
E) It's MY car, and I'll take it off if I want to.

If you really want to keep yours on, that's fine. I was just letting you know that if you're not subscribing to OnStar, you can simply peel the entire outer portion of the antenna off the window. (There's no hole or anything drilled through the glass.)

I left the inside part as is. Since it would damage my defogger lines if I took it off.

I didn't know it was a stick on, it'll most likely be coming off then. Thank guys!

Yeah, it just sticks on. No holes or fasteners other than double sided foam tape.

I know it's hard to tell just by reading words on the screen. But for the record, I wasn't angry when I posted earlier. Just giving my reasons for taking mine off.

Taking it off was personal preference really. Especially scraping the rear window in the winter time. The antenna mount always got in the way. I still have the antenna and mount in a box with other stuff for my car.
