Default Alternator

I think my alternator may be dying. I'm hearing a nice whining noise whenever I'm idling, so i popped the hood, and I smelt kind of an electrical fire smell from underneath. My abs light came for no reason. If I shut off the car, turn it back on, the ABS is there and works, but after a minute or so, they stop working and the ABS light is back on. Also I drove it home, and the dash lights, fan, headlights all fluctuate while I drive. I notice it alot whenever the rpms got above 3000, so I babied it home, and ignored the guys honking there horns, haha.

Has anybody else ever had this or does it just sound like a dying Alternator?

Never an across that before. I would pull the alternator and bring it to Autozone and they can test it for you.
