Default 3.8 alternator swap

My alternator has unfortunately gone bad, I was looking at it and the alternator looks pretty much bolt on, the only problem I have is i dont know how to loosen the belt to get it off. And also if I loosened the belt would it come off all the other pulleys
thanks

It's pretty easy to remove the belt. It takes a 1/2" drive breaker bar aand put it in the square hole in the idler pulley bracket. Twist the bar to release pressure on the belt, remove the belt, and that's about it.
