Default Almost stranded - Switch changed :)

This morning (as usual) the Monte ran great, put on 25 miles to an appointment. After about 20 minutes returned to the car, go to start and "nothing" in the start position. It was not like a dead or weak battery but everything just turned off and no starter, more like a bad neutral safety switch. It would recycle if I turned the key off then ACC and ON would have power. After 15 minutes I called AAA and texted work that I'd be late. Gave it one last shot and it fired right up. Cancelled AAA and re-texted work and went straight home to switch cars.

I have been seeing a few issues indication that the ignition switch is bad like the CRUISE light flashing, the OHD not displaying and the SECURITY warning on the info center display. I wanted to wait for warmer weather but it looks like I will be swapping out the switch ASAP.

No CEL today. Last one was quite a while ago for the AIR pump (P0410).I ordered a Dorman switch from Amazon. It will be here Saturday or Monday.

It almost presents like a loose cable but its not. My rarely used 67 Chevelle would do the bad cable connection dance. Once it sparked everything would be dead then I'd have to twist the connection a bit more and try again.
I'll see what happens after the new switch.

Changed the switch today. Easy job. Hopefully no more weird issues.
